Lead Architectural Stair & Rail Installer

A leader in architectural metal fabrication and installation is seeking a Lead Architectural Stair & Rail Installer to oversee field execution of high-end commercial stair and railing systems. This role leads installation crews, ensures precise layout and installation, maintains quality standards, and interfaces with general contractors and site representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Leadership & Execution
  • Lead and supervise installation crews (3–5 installers)
  • Execute stair, railing, and misc. metal installations
  • Coordinate daily work plans and schedules
  • Ensure productivity and adherence to company standards
  • Layout & Installation
  • Perform layout using control lines, BM and FF elevations
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Verify plumb, level, and alignment
  • Resolve field conflicts proactively
  • Quality Control
  • Inspect installed work for quality and compliance
  • Perform field modifications and finish touch-ups
  • Manage damaged materials and repairs
  • Maintain high-end architectural finish standards
  • Customer & Project Coordination
  • Interface with GCs, superintendents, and trades
  • Communicate progress and jobsite conditions
  • Represent company professionally
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections
  • Ensure proper PPE and safe work practices

This is a Full-Time Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years architectural metal installation experience
  • Leadership experience in field environments
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Welding and finishing skills (TIG preferred)
  • OSHA certification and valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel (including overnight)
  • Pass drug screening and site requirements
  • Willingness to obtain additional certifications
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work at heights (ladders, lifts, scaffolds)
  • Indoor and outdoor jobsite environments
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and weather
  • Extended hours based on project demands

Schedule:

1st shift

Pay Rate Range: $25 to $28 per hour
