About This Role We are hiring an experienced Electrician / Electronics Technician based in Dallas, TX for a travel-heavy role (50-75% domestic). You will install, commission, and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and ASCO transfer switches from multiple manufacturers to keep client power systems reliable. This is hands-on field work: running wiring, setting up controls and network integration, troubleshooting emergency/standby systems, and providing client technical support on site.
Pay up to $40/hr, with travel per diem and reimbursement for work-related expenses.
What You'll DoInstall, wire, and commission UPS systems from various manufacturers on customer sites
Install, test, and service ASCO transfer switches and related distribution equipment
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on standby and emergency power systems
Troubleshoot controls, electrical systems, power issues, fuses, and transformer problems
Integrate and troubleshoot network and control interfaces for data center and commercial systems
Provide on-site technical support to clients, document work, and follow safety procedures
What We're Looking For3+ years installing and maintaining UPS systems and transfer switches across multiple manufacturers
Experience with transformer installation, distribution equipment, and commercial electrical service
Strong troubleshooting skills for controls, electrical systems, power/fuses, and standby/emergency systems
Hands-on controls installation and programming plus network equipment installation and troubleshooting
Willingness to travel 50-75% domestic, work overnight when required, and lift heavy equipment safely
Qualifications CPR, AED, First Aid certification OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Veteran or prior military electrical experience (Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, USMC) welcome
Bilingual:
English and Spanish required
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, able to pass background check and drug screen
Ability to travel frequently and work extended shifts on customer sites
