General Facilities Maintenance Technician, Journeyman Electrician

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures

• Inspect, clean, repair, and document wear and tear

• Gather capital expense information and recommend repairs or replacements

• Perform major and minor repairs using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material-handling equipment, and food-equipment skills

• Diagnose issues using inspections, testing, blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs

• Dismantle equipment and facilities to access defective parts

• Respond promptly to emergency calls

• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors

• Complete expense vouchers, summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs

• Order, track, store, and transport parts and replacement equipment

• Submit warranty claims and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations

• Ensure contractors meet Walmart quality, safety, and contract requirements

• Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality

• Develop and implement processes and practices to meet business needs

• Monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and address deficiencies

• Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards

• 2 years of experience in the electrical trade
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in the state where working
• Valid driver's license
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program (preferred)
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (preferred)
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located (preferred)

Demonstrates expertise in performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs across various trades, including electrical and plumbing. Proficient in managing work orders, compliance with safety regulations, and leading maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency.
