Alamon Inc. is seeking a DC Power Technician Level 1 to support telecommunications and utility power installations nationwide. Working in small, mobile crews, you will assist with installing, wiring, labeling, and testing DC power plants, battery strings, rectifiers, and related equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include using meters and test equipment, reading basic schematics, maintaining tools and materials, and following strict safety and quality procedures.

This role offers paid training, travel, and the opportunity to grow technical skills in a field-focused, safety-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation and upgrade of DC power plants, rectifiers, and batteries at telecom and utility sites
  • Perform basic DC wiring, terminations, labeling, and cable routing under supervision
  • Use meters and test equipment to verify voltage, polarity, and system performance
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and lockout/tagout practices
  • Read and interpret basic drawings, site prints, and work orders
  • Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized job site
  • Document work performed and support completion of site reports and checklists
  • Travel regularly to customer locations and work effectively in small field crews
  • Communicate professionally with crew leads, project managers, and customer contacts
  • Participate in ongoing training to build technical and safety skills
