Experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, facilities maintenance, or other skilled trades can provide a great foundation for this role.

What Does a Maintenance Technician Do?Maintenance Technicians play an important role in keeping our apartment communities operating safely, efficiently, and at a high standard. They respond to resident service requests, troubleshoot and complete repairs, prepare apartment homes for new residents, and help maintain the overall condition of the community.
- Completing resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems
- Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including completing repairs and ensuring homes are move‑in ready
- Inspecting apartments, common areas, and building systems for maintenance needs
- Assisting with the upkeep of community amenities, grounds, and common areas
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintaining tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas
- Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
- Working closely with the onsite team to keep the community operating at a high standard
Maintenance Technicians work a five‑day schedule and participate in a rotational on‑call schedule to respond to after‑hours emergency maintenance needs.
Previous apartment maintenance experience can be valuable, but relevant hands‑on experience from other industries may also be a great fit.

- The ability to perform physically active work and use tools and equipment safely
- Previous experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, construction, facilities maintenance, or a related skilled trade is a plus
- Valid driver's license
