Roofing Mechanic

Progressive Roofing, a national commercial roofing contractor, seeks Roofing Mechanics to install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems across industrial, institutional, retail, and government facilities. In this hands-on role, you'll work in crews to complete installations, reroofs, and repairs while following strict safety and quality standards. You'll use a variety of tools and materials, read basic plans and measurements, and assist with inspections, leak detection, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems per project specifications and safety standards
• Inspect roofs to identify leaks, damage, and needed repairs; document findings for supervisors
• Operate hand and power tools, roofing equipment, and safety gear correctly and efficiently
• Load, unload, and stage materials, ensuring clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures, including fall protection and PPE use
• Read and follow basic plans, measurements, and layout instructions from foremen or project managers
• Work effectively in crews, assisting teammates to meet quality, schedule, and workmanship standards
• Perform preventative maintenance and reroofing tasks on industrial, retail, and government facilities
