Role Description

The Crew Chief role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dallas, TX. Crew Chiefs lead field crews on cleanup and restoration projects, including water extraction, structural drying, and demolition, as well as fire, smoke, and odor remediation. Typical responsibilities include assessing job sites, documenting conditions, setting up and monitoring equipment, and ensuring that work follows SERVPRO standards and safety protocols.

Crew Chiefs coordinate daily tasks, train and guide team members, communicate with customers on job status and expectations, and complete required job documentation and photos. The role also involves driving company vehicles to job locations, maintaining tools and equipment, and collaborating with office staff to support job scheduling and progress updates.

Qualifications
  • Experience leading crews or teams in restoration, construction, facilities, or related field, with strong leadership and delegation skills.
  • Hands-on aptitude for water damage mitigation, structural drying, cleaning, and basic building repair or demolition.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, complete job documentation accurately, and use mobile apps or basic computer systems.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with property owners and managers.
  • Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of PPE, safe equipment operation, and adherence to company and industry guidelines.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, work on feet for extended periods, and perform tasks in varied environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation to the Dallas, TX worksite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications (e.g., IICRC Water Restoration) are a plus.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts during emergency or large-loss events.
