- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and overhaul Load Tap Changers (LTCs).
- Perform electrical and mechanical testing, including:
- Hi-Pot
- TTR
- Ductor
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and control drawings.
- Verify control systems, alarms, interlocks, CT wiring, and auxiliary systems.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training for employees, service personnel, and customers.
- Develop and maintain training materials, work instructions, SOPs, and technical manuals.
- Evaluate trainee performance through practical demonstrations and knowledge assessments.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for LTC systems and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and testing documentation.
- Support process improvements related to safety, quality, productivity, and training effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams to improve products and processes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with power transformers and Load Tap Changers.
- Experience with transformer maintenance, assembly, testing, or field service.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Technology.
- Experience delivering technical training or mentoring technicians.
- Experience working with multiple LTC manufacturers.
- Advanced knowledge of LTC repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
