  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, and overhaul Load Tap Changers (LTCs).
  • Perform electrical and mechanical testing, including:
  • Hi-Pot
  • TTR
  • Ductor
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and control drawings.
  • Verify control systems, alarms, interlocks, CT wiring, and auxiliary systems.
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Technical Training
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training for employees, service personnel, and customers.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, work instructions, SOPs, and technical manuals.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through practical demonstrations and knowledge assessments.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for LTC systems and best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports and testing documentation.
  • Support process improvements related to safety, quality, productivity, and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams to improve products and processes.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with power transformers and Load Tap Changers.
  • Experience with transformer maintenance, assembly, testing, or field service.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred
  • Technical degree or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Technology.
  • Experience delivering technical training or mentoring technicians.
  • Experience working with multiple LTC manufacturers.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of LTC repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
