Build a Career in Erosion Control!
TEX Environmental is hiring dependable, hardworking people to join our field crews in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Previous erosion-control experience is preferred, especially experience installing silt fence, erosion logs, inlet protection, blankets, seeding, or similar BMPs. Construction, landscaping, agriculture, and other outdoor field experience are also valuable.
Applicants without direct erosion-control experience will still be considered if they have a strong work history, dependable attendance, and a willingness to learn.
This is a hands-on field position for people who want to develop construction skills, work as part of a crew, and build a long-term career with a growing environmental contractor.
Primary Responsibilities- Install and maintain silt fence, erosion logs or wattles, inlet protection, soil-retention blankets, and other erosion-control BMPs.
- Assist with seeding, mulching, and planting when assigned.
- Load, unload, carry, stage, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Dig shallow trenches and post holes and install stakes, staples, fabric, blankets, and related materials.
Safely use hand tools and approved power tools and small equipment after training and authorization. - Follow instructions from Foremen and Superintendents and work effectively as part of a field crew.
- Maintain jobsites, tools, vehicles, the shop, and yard in a safe and orderly condition.
- Follow company, client, safety, quality, environmental, and jobsite requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions, injuries, spills, damaged tools, and other concerns immediately.
- Travel with the crew to out-of-town projects and stay overnight when required.
- Erosion-control experience is preferred.
- Experience in civil construction, landscaping, environmental construction, agriculture, ranching, or other outdoor labor is also preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work safely and productively as part of a field crew.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal, visual, and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn installation methods, tool use, equipment, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Ability to travel to assigned project locations and work occasional out-of-town projects. - A valid driver's license is required if and when driving is assigned as an essential job duty.
English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
TEX Environmental is building its field team in North Texas, and we want employees who are interested in growing with the company.
Laborer I is an entry-level field position, but it does not have to be the final step.

May be considered for advancement to Laborer II and other field positions as they gain experience and opportunities become available.
