Journeyman Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Complete troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuild of engine products in the service shop.
• Perform preventative maintenance based on an assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work.
• Follow company standard operating procedures
• Responsible for performing assigned jobs and maintaining minimum comebacks.
• Responsible for the pickup and delivery of service-related items or customer vehicles
• Responsible for reporting any problems or concerns within the shop to Service Advisor or Service Manager.
• Answer questions from, and provide guidelines to, less experienced shop employees.
• Responsible for attending training classes as required. Study shop materials and manuals as they relate to your job.
• Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

Education

• A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Additional training in heavy-duty truck repair preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of three to four years of heavy-duty truck/engine repairs and installation is required.
