Mobile Fleet Technician

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers' commercial tractors and trailers
• Write detailed work orders
• Work mobile road calls and/or in-yard assignments
• Provide quality customer service and respond to client queries as soon as possible
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
• Maintain hubs and axles, adjusting or replacing them when required
• Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
• Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
• Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management

• Experienced mobile diesel mechanic with at least 5 years experience
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers
• Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
• Ability to maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
• Ability to inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
• Ability to check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to test systems and equipment for performance issues
  
  Ability to ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements
• Ability to compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management
