Maintenance Technician

This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing and packaging equipment used to produce globally recognized card and board games. The Maintenance Technician ensures that production lines run safely, efficiently, and reliably by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, and supporting the installation and modification of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair RAPIDA brand printers, cutters, sealers, feeders, rollers, folding machines, box erectors, pneumatic systems, packaging equipment, robotic palletizers, and packers.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and maintain control panels to ensure reliable operation of automated equipment.
• Operate equipment as needed to test and verify proper function after repairs and maintenance activities.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time, documenting work performed and parts used.
• Participate in the installation of new machinery and assist with modifications to existing equipment to improve performance and reliability.
• Prioritize and perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronics and control systems to restore equipment to safe and efficient operation.
• Support safe work practices while working around heavy equipment and within a manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience working on manufacturing equipment or food processing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with electrical maintenance and repair in an industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of production machinery.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and PLC control for automated equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and routines.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics used in manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to perform electronics troubleshooting and basic electronic testing.
• Ability to read and work with industrial equipment, components, and control panels.
• Capability to operate machinery safely during testing and verification after repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in welding and fabrication to support equipment repair and modification.
• Experience in machining parts to replace or improve worn or damaged components.
• Electronic testing and repair experience is a plus.
• Electrical certification can qualify the technician for an Electrician position.
• Experience with fabrication, welding, and machining for custom parts and fixtures.
• Experience operating production machines and equipment within a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

You work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with heavy equipment and automated machinery in operation. You collaborate with a team of approximately 12 technicians per shift, fostering a supportive and team-oriented atmosphere. The facility houses printers, cutters, sealers, feeders, rollers, folding machines, box erectors, packaging equipment, and robotic palletizers and packers.
