Salem Leasing is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to repair trucks, trailers and other vehicles

- Weekend schedule - 12-hour shifts
- Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
- Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined & other potentially troublesome areas
- Plan work procedures using charts, technical manuals & experience
- Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services
- Repair manual & automatic transmissions
- Replace & adjust headlights
Comply with all safety, DOT, & OSHA guidelines - Adhere to company rules & regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas
- Uniforms/ safety shoe program
Pay is negotiable and varies based on location and experience

- High School diploma or equivalent
- CDL-B license preferred
- Minimum five (5) years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience preferred (training can be provided)
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Good driving record & proven work history
- Must be able to work in extreme heat & cold temperatures
- Computer Diagnostic: 1 year (Required)
- Mobile Tech: 1 year (Preferred)
- Diesel Mechanic: 5 years (Required)
