Position: Administrative Assistant I (226 Days)
Greet and welcome Emergent Bilingual (EB) students and families; provide initial contact and guide them through the registration and orientation processes.

Oversee day-to-day center operations, manage routine work activities, and prioritize tasks. Handle information flow and disseminate reports as needed.

Respond to inquiries from employees and the public in an accurate, knowledgeable, and efficient manner; advise supervisor of inquiries that cannot be personally handled.

Format, type, and process routine correspondence, financial reports, memos, and documents for approval. Maintain a regular feedback loop with the supervisor regarding project statuses.

Order and maintain office supplies, log received materials, and manage an efficient, accurate filing system and inventory.

Coordinate with the Budget team to ensure departmental payroll deadlines are met and submitted accurately.

Collaborate on planning, coordinating, and implementing district-wide community event opportunities designed for EB students and their parents.

Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Work required evenings and Saturdays to support Dual Language ESL Department and district-wide events.

Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency);
Associate's degree preferred.

5 years of direct experience. Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.

Demonstrates ability to communicate written and oral with a diverse community and the public at large.

Demonstrates excellent planning and organizational skills.

Demonstrates knowledge and experience in assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of parent engagement programs.

Demonstrates competence in cross-cultural communication, training ability, and parent-school community partnerships.

Demonstrates ability to work successfully with parents of district students, as well as all levels of district employees.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
