Hours: 40 hours per week
THE OPPORTUNITYPhoenix Residential is a trauma‑informed residential facility serving youth with emotional and behavioral challenges in Ellis County. We operate with fidelity to the Trust‑Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) model — because we believe relationships are the foundation of healing.
As Treatment Director, you won't just oversee documentation — you'll shape how care is actually delivered. You'll lead a multidisciplinary clinical team, champion TBRI practices across the facility, and be a grounding, consistent presence for the young people we serve. This is a role for a seasoned clinical leader who wants real influence over treatment quality, not just administrative oversight.
WHAT SETS THIS ROLE APART- Mission‑driven model:
Every clinical decision is grounded in TBRI — a research‑based framework, not a compliance checkbox. - Genuine leadership authority:
You'll own clinical programming, not just report on it. - Collaborative team:
You'll work alongside therapists, nurses, physicians, and direct‑care staff who are invested in doing this work well. - Meaningful work:
The youth we serve have experienced significant trauma. Your clinical leadership directly shapes their trajectory.
- Direct the day‑to‑day clinical quality of all treatment program components in compliance with DFPS Minimum Standards.
- Champion and sustain TBRI implementation — providing staff training, coaching, and ongoing fidelity monitoring.
- Participate in clinical decision‑making as a core treatment team member across interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Supervise contracted clinical professionals including therapists, physicians, and registered nurses.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, supporting staff capacity to deliver trauma‑informed care.
- Conduct admission assessments and determine appropriate levels of care for each child.
- Develop, review, and update individualized service plans tailored to each youth's strengths and needs.
- Review medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to physician orders.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position (40 hrs/week). Because we serve youth around the clock, the role requires reasonable schedule flexibility — occasional evenings, some weekend availability, and rotated holiday coverage shared across the leadership team. Scheduling is coordinated in advance.
