Openshift Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Engineer to lead and support our cloud technology initiatives, driving the development and rollout of new applications, tools, platforms, and services. You will be empowered to innovate, propose ideas, and play a key role in enabling modernization and Cloud adoption within our organization. In this role, you will lead complex technology projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish engineering standards and best practices for scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology initiatives, including company wide projects with broad impact.
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.
• Take a lead role in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs.
• Make decisions regarding the development of standard engineering practices and technology solutions.

• Analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in alignment with tactical and strategic business objectives.
• Evaluate enterprise technology environments and technical challenges requiring in-depth analysis and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve project goals.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to drive the success of cloud adoption and technology initiatives.
• Lead projects and teams, serving as a mentor to peers and junior engineers, ensuring knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Ensure deliverables are met while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Developer Hub / Backstage.
• 5+ years of experience with Ansible, Terraform, Python, C#, SQL, and Testing frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Developer Hub / Backstage.
• 5+ years of experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Python development.
• 5+ years of experience in object-oriented design patterns and development.
• 3+ years of experience in Open Shift or Containerized Application Development.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban.
• 3+ years of experience using tools like Jenkins/Harness, Git Hub, Git Actions, and testing automation tools like Selenium.

• 3+ years of experience with relational databases and data modeling.
• 3+ years of experience with web services such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.

Testing and Quality Assurance:
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), Unit Testing, Integration Testing, API Testing, Performance Testing, and Functional Testing.
