Can you design and build a secure, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platform—and then stand behind the architectural decisions you make? Are you comfortable choosing a modern cloud stack, setting clear technical direction, and writing production code that becomes the backbone of long-lived systems? Can you bring others along with your vision?

Do you bring structure to ambiguity, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and communicate clearly with executive leadership and peers? Can you balance speed with durability, simplicity with rigor, and delivery with long-term maintainability?

We are building a new version of a system that has been operable for almost 10 years - working from a newly compiled set of requirements.

This role is for a senior individual contributor who architects by building, collaborates closely with the CTO, and approaches complex, high-integrity systems with confidence, professionalism, and accountability—without people management responsibilities.

• Design, build, and evolve a multi-tenant SaaS platform
• Define service boundaries, APIs, integrations, and data ownership
• Architect for security, tenant isolation, scalability, availability, and fault tolerance

• Evaluate and select frameworks, databases, cloud services, and tooling
• Partner with the CTO on architectural direction
• Make pragmatic tradeoffs across speed, cost, robustness, and scale

• Write production-quality backend and platform code
• Build core workflow, document, and data-processing capabilities
• Lead by example in code quality, testing, and performance

• Build configurable workflow engines
• Ensure auditability, logging, and traceability

• Provide architectural guidance and code reviews
• Collaborate daily with the CTO and development team
• Mentor engineers through design discussions

• Frontend:
  React or similar frameworks
• Databases:

  QL APIs, workflow engines

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Secure, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS systems
• Strong backend, API, and data modeling skills
• Production operations experience

• Workflow or document management systems
• Regulated or high-integrity environments
