Duties
Guide the implementation using CI/CD pipelines in a Kubernetes environment. Elicit requirements for sizing of application deployments to manage expected workload. Develop test cases using JUnit, Mockito, and Web-Test client and evaluate solution to design, script, and execute performance tests. Build an automation framework by leveraging Jenkins/Groovy and Python, and by leveraging existing CICD processes to automate the orchestration of applications and execution of tests, and deploy microservices in Kubernetes.
Create a Java automation framework to build automated tests and utilities, and build and maintain an integration testing framework in Jenkins to execute automated tests for regression, integration, and functional testing on newly designed or modified applications and systems. Confer with the Enterprise Architecture and Product Architecture teams to devise implementation details. Promote standards across application configuration towards the highest security.
Collaborate with access management and security teams on setting up roles and permissions for systems and users using least privilege strategies. Collaborate with the integration/performance testing team to leverage integrated release tests in Integration/Release Acceptance environments. Collaborate with operations and enablement teams to deliver, configure, and test applications. Collaborate with production controls teams on monitoring, failover, and logging. Provide guidance to systems and Dev Ops engineers for building a highly performant environment.
Perform deployment of applications in VM-based as well as container-based deployments. Develop documentation for operations of SDLC pipelines and practices to enable technical support of applications and infrastructure. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted. Master’s degree in computer science, business analytics, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, associate/principal software engineering, or related role.
