Software Engineer Senior - Embedded, Dallas, TX

Position Summary

As a Software Engineer at MFC, you will work on embedded software for advanced defense systems such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. The role requires developing and integrating C/C++ applications and coordinating software development activities within a matrix engineering organization.

• Develop embedded software.
• Integrate features and algorithms into C/C++ applications.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software to develop solutions.
• Correct program errors, produce operating instructions, compile documentation, and analyze system capabilities.

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Embedded software development experience.
• Experience with Linux/Xilinx tool suite.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or C programming languages.

• Software design/architecture experience.
• Knowledge of Cameo software design and architecture tools.
• Full SW development life-cycle experience.
• Agile development methodology experience (Atlassian Tool Suite).
• Experience with HW/SW integration and testing in HWIL.
• Experience in early technology/demonstration contracts.
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops  and Git Lab CI/CD tools.
• Technical document development expertise.
• Technical review presentation development and delivery.

This position is onsite at Grand Prairie, TX. The work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
