Role:
Sr. Staff Software Engineer (Java Architect)

Location: Dallas, TX - (Hybrid role, in‑office presence required, NO REMOTE)

  • Seeking an expert who has a strong technical foundation with the additional ability to be hands‑on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, with the ability to implement them working with both the platform and the product teams.
  • We are seeking an experienced Sr Staff Engineer with deep expertise in Java, Web Flux/Reactor Core, Spring Boot, Kafka, Platform Engineering and Azure. You will play a key role in designing and developing highly scalable and low‑latency platform software solutions and driving technical excellence.

What you will do
  • Architect and develop robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Web Flux/Project Reactor, Quarkus and reactive programming principles.
  • Leverage Microsoft Azure services for building, deploying, and scaling applications – AKS, Helm, Terraform, Git Hub Actions, Mongo

    DB.
  • Design and develop SaaS solutions focusing on multi‑tenancy, scalability, low latency and high availability.
  • Build event‑driven systems using Kafka for event streaming, real‑time data processing and messaging.
  • Lead by example through hands‑on coding, peer code reviews, and setting high standards for software quality, performance, and security.
  • Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product Management, UX, and PD to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize code for maximum scalability and reliability.
  • Champion best practices such as test‑driven development, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java, Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Proven experience in reactive programming with Spring Web Flux, Project Reactor or Quarkus.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka for building scalable event‑driven applications.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including deployment of microservices and infrastructure management.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and designing scalable backend systems.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Postgre

    SQL, MySQL) and No

    SQL databases (e.g., Mongo

    DB).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, proactive and detail‑oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CQRS and event sourcing patterns.
  • Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates.
  • Knowledge of Graph

    QL and gRPC.
  • Experience building high‑availability systems and disaster recovery planning.
  • Contributions to open‑source projects and active participation in tech communities.
