About the RoleWe are looking for a Technician to join our experimental and operations teams. In this position you’ll work on modifying, maintaining, and certifying our autonomous vehicle platforms, collaborating closely with design and validation engineers to support vehicle and hardware development.
Responsibilities- Modify and maintain autonomous vehicle platforms.
- Inspect and certify the operational state of vehicles.
- Work closely with design and validation engineers to aid in the development of hardware systems.
- Execute scheduled work according to uptime expectations.
- Create and maintain maintenance documentation to support fleet growth.
- Complete assigned tasks while maintaining work quality and standards.
- Help evaluate and maintain work instruction accuracy.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Solid hands‑on background – Experience inspecting and identifying defects and failures within a fleet, both visual and operational.
- Reliability and consistency – A track record of meticulous work using checklists, protocols, and documentation.
- Self‑motivation and a learning mindset, with integrity in following processes.
- Experience with electrical tools – Multimeters, oscilloscopes, specialized wire crimpers, and diagnostic software for truck electronics.
- Clear communication – Ability to give feedback to engineers, share insights, and seek secondary inspection for safety‑critical decisions.
- Innovative mindset – Problem‑solving abilities and the drive to improve systems even when solutions are not obvious.
- Flexibility for occasional work outside the Tuesday‑through‑Saturday schedule and potential short‑term onsite travel to remote locations.
