Hawk empowers people to make better data center real estate decisions by providing the most precise and useful data center real estate information to the market.

The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software applications. This full‑stack position requires expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Vue.js, and proficiency in other programming languages. The role involves understanding business requirements, designing and building software, testing and implementing programs, and collaborating with teammates to achieve sprint and company objectives.

• Provide estimates for business problems and design solutions to them.
• Plan, architect, build and implement complete features with the team.
• Work closely with other team members during sprint to achieve key objectives and deliverables.
• Partner with other developers to improve code quality through code reviews.
• Be proactive in solving problems and comfortable in moving quickly.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Ability to work full time in Dallas, TX office.

• Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies outlined above.

• Stay current in development technologies and practices.

• Recent experience with Agile (Scrum) project methodologies.
• Experience in software design skills to produce scalable/extensible/reusable designs that meet architectural objectives.

• Ability to work in Dallas, TX office full-time.
• At least 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with a combination of the following technologies:
  • Programming

    Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL
  • Libraries & Frameworks:
    Spring (Java), Hibernate (Java), ArcGIS (optional but highly recommended), VueJS (optional but highly recommended)
  • Servers:
    MySQL, Tomcat, Apache
  • SCM:
    Git/Git Hub
