As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Capital Markets Derivatives organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.

* Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.

* Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.

* Facilitates complex problem resolution.

* Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.

* Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

* Ability/Desire to gain knowledge of Capital Markets and Derivatives products.

* Ability to effectively communicate with the Business on issues and improvements.

* Ability / Desire to find innovative technology solutions to solve business problems.

Technical

Skills:

Java (web and core)

SQL (Oracle)

Linux (core and scripting)

Capital Markets Experience / Knowledge (highly desirable but not requires) :

Derivatives product Asset classes:
Rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodities (Energy) , Credit

Derivative sensitivity measures:
Delta, Vega, Gamma, DV01, Theta, VaR, etc.

Experience with 3rd party trading systems - Murex, Calypso, etc.

Front Office (Trading, Sales/Marketing)

Back Office / Operations (Trade Reporting, Settlements, Accounting, Finance, Collateral Mgmt)

Risk Management (Market, Credit, Legal Compliance)
