Software Engineer, Backend Developer, .NET Developer

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a highly visible engineering team supporting critical Fund Administration, Operations, and Security Master platforms. This role will focus on building scalable integrations, backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend operational tooling that support enterprise-wide financial data workflows and business operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience within the Microsoft stack, hands‑on exposure to F#, and experience building modern Angular-based UI applications. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with technology, operations, data, and business stakeholders on large‑scale enterprise systems in a fast‑paced financial services environment.

• Design and develop backend services using C#, F#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Build and integrate REST/SOAP APIs and scalable enterprise services.
• Develop and maintain integrations that ingest, normalize, validate, and publish financial/security data.
• Design and optimize SQL Server objects including stored procedures, functions, indexes, and performance tuning.
• Build responsive frontend applications and operational tooling using Angular, Type Script, HTML/CSS, and modern web technologies.
• Support data quality initiatives, reconciliation workflows, exception handling, and automation improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues across data pipelines, backend services, and frontend applications.
• Participate in Agile SDLC processes, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technology and business teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise with C#, F#, .NET Framework/Core, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Dapper.
• Experience building REST/SOAP APIs and distributed systems.
• Advanced SQL Server development and performance optimization experience.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure Dev Ops, and Agile environments.
• Understanding of SDLC best practices, unit testing, and scalable application architecture.
• Experience working within Azure‑based environments strongly preferred.

• Financial services, asset management, fund administration, or investment management experience preferred.
• Experience with event‑driven architecture, NService
  
  Bus, MSMQ, or Azure Service Bus is a plus.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration and reporting platforms is beneficial.
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite weekly.
• Dallas preferred; NYC acceptable.
• Long‑term contract opportunity with potential for extension.
