The Senior Software Engineer will join a small, energetic and collaborative team to design, develop and deploy frontend and backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency and scalability. The role includes architectural design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and mentorship through pair programming and code reviews. The engineer will work under product and project managers to plan and estimate software solutions and will continually adopt new tools and practices to meet business objectives.

What You’ll Do- Design, develop and deploy high‑availability and scalable frontend and backend services.
- Direct and assist with designing, documenting, testing, and debugging new and existing software systems.
- Identify and resolve complex defects using debugging tools and best‑practice techniques.
- Lead technical problem solving and debugging efforts.
- Advocate best practices, design standards, and procedures.
- Support and maintain existing products while adding features requested by customers.
- Adapt to changing business environments and requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, QA, and other teams in an agile environment.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and mentor others in agile practices.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers through coaching and educational opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- At least six (6) years of software development experience; 3 years as a Senior Engineer preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Node.js and asynchronous programming.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, particularly on AWS.
- Expertise in client‑side JavaScript frameworks and web development.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts, with knowledge of PostgreSQL preferred.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and practical implementation.
- Commitment to Agile practices and principles.
- Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of contemporary web API design (REST, hypermedia).
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate complex information to project managers and executives.
- Leadership and mentoring experience.
- Experience coordinating application development with minimal supervision.
- Feedback and guidance in code reviews.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce platform is a plus.
