Summary
Our client is seeking an Automation Platform Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of automation solutions used for automotive multimedia systems. This role supports a Business Support team by implementing code changes, troubleshooting and debugging automation tools, assisting tool users with technical guidance, and ensuring software quality through testing and continuous improvement. This position is best suited for a developer with at least 5 years of automation‑platform experience, strong Python skills and experience supporting multi‑media automation environments.
You will collaborate closely with lead developers to resolve issues, improve tooling, and help strengthen the global value chain—within a company‑wide focus on security and resilience.
Plano, Texas (Hybrid)
Requirements- At least 5 years of experience developing and supporting automation solutions
- Strong Python development experience (automation and scripting)
- Experience with automation solutions for multi‑media applications (preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and conduct root cause analysis
- Experience supporting tools/users with technical guidance
- Familiarity with testing practices and quality assurance approaches
- Understanding of secure software development concepts and a security‑first mindset
- Hybrid availability in the Plano, TX area
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation solutions for automotive multimedia systems
- Implement code changes in coordination with lead developers and engineering teams
- Support tool users by diagnosing issues, answering technical questions, and providing solutions
- Perform testing, debugging, and quality assurance activities to ensure reliable automation performance
