We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer / SDET with strong experience in Finance systems integration testing and SOX compliance audit validation
. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in both manual functional testing and test automation
, with a solid understanding of financial workflows, controls validation, and system integrations.
This role will be responsible for validating end-to-end finance business processes, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes‑Oxley) controls
, and developing automated testing frameworks for regression and integration testing.
- Perform functional testing of finance and accounting workflows across integrated systems
- Validate SOX controls
, audit requirements, and compliance-related test scenarios - Design and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for finance applications
- Perform integration testing across ERP, finance, reporting, and downstream systems
- Identify gaps in financial data flows, controls, reconciliations, and exception handling
- Develop and maintain automation scripts/frameworks for regression and repetitive testing
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Finance SMEs, Developers, and Audit teams
- Validate financial reports, interfaces, reconciliations, and control evidence
- Log, track, and manage defects through resolution
- Support UAT and audit evidence documentation
- Strong experience in Software Quality Engineering / SDET
- Experience in SOX Audit Testing / SOX Controls Validation
- Strong knowledge of Finance / Accounting business processes
- Expertise in manual functional testing
- Experience in test automation (Selenium, Java, Python, or similar)
- Experience with API testing and system integration validation
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
- Experience with defect management tools like JIRA
, ALM / Quality Center - Knowledge of SQL for backend validation
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, or Workday
- Exposure to finance integrations involving GL, AP, AR, Billing, Payroll
- Experience in regulated / audit-heavy environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automation frameworks
- Prior experience working with internal/external audit teams
- Knowledge of compliance standards and control frameworks
- Strong analytical and communication skills
