Senior/Staff Backend Engineer Compensation: $130k-170k/yr base (Senior), $170-230k/yr base (Staff) PLUS EQUITY!

Remote Requirements: 5+ years Java, AWS, BSCS We are building the OS of real estate. Solving the core workflow problems for the largest asset class in the world! We have raised $7 million in financing from multi-billion dollar real estate groups and families such as LeFrak and Milstein in addition to various top VC funds who seed invested in Uber, AirBnB, Lyft, Wish, Hello Fresh, Zalando, Ring, Anduril, and others.

Our co-founders are successful serial entrepreneurs. One of our founders was the founding partner at Sway Ventures and transacted over $1 billion throughout his merchant banking career! The other was the co-founder, CTO of Addepar ($2+ trillion on their platform) and co-founder, CTO of Dynasty (acquired by Appfolio). Other team members include early engineers or executives at Amazon and Robinhood.

We have multiple years of runway & tons of inbound investor interest. We are looking for a Senior & Staff Backend Engineers who will be a key members of our tight-knit team. You will be responsible for building services & APIs by writing code that is clean, minimal and easy to understand. A typical day involves working with Frontend, Design and Product teams to solve issues that are massively scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications by optimizing backend processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in backend development.
• Implement and develop microservices architecture to improve system modularity.
• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable application deployment and management.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development (10+ years for Staff-level)
• Strong backend skills in Java
• AWS
• STARTUP EXPERIENCE! We're looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment
