Asset & Wealth Management - Software Engineer - Vice President - Dallas

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to drive the design and delivery of mission‑critical advisor platforms.

This role is backend and platform‑focused, with opportunities to contribute across the full stack. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Java‑based microservices, cloud‑native architecture (AWS), and event‑driven systems, while guiding the team on emerging technologies such as Generative AI and AI‑enabled platform capabilities.

• Design and build scalable, high‑throughput backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
• Architect and implement event‑driven systems using technologies such as Kafka, Redpanda, or AWS Event Bridge
• Lead the design and evolution of cloud‑native platforms on AWS, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance
• Contribute to full‑stack development, partnering with frontend teams (Angular/React) to deliver seamless user experiences
• Provide technical leadership by guiding engineers on system design, cloud architecture, and modern engineering practices
• Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions in collaboration with Product and Business stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for code quality, system reliability, and maintainability
• Drive integration of Generative AI capabilities, including LLM‑based solutions, into platform architecture
• Build and optimize production systems, improving observability, reliability, and deployment processes

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior capacity
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience building event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Redpanda, Event Bridge, or similar)

  SQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and relational databases
• Experience with AWS cloud services and modern Dev Ops practices
• Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability

• Experience contributing to full‑stack applications using Angular or React
• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI / LLM integration, including:
• AWS Bedrock or similar platforms
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Experience in financial services, wealth management, or trading platforms
• Experience building event‑driven, real‑time processing systems at scale
• Proven experience acting as a technical lead or senior contributor, guiding teams and driving architecture decisions
• Familiarity with secure, regulated enterprise environments
