As a Software Architect Sr within PNC's Technology organization located in Farmers Branch, TX, you will be a strategic technical leader focused on shaping the target‑state data ecosystem, guiding direction, and ensuring solutions are technically sound and scalable.

You will bring strong depth across data platforms, pipelines, cloud, and integrations, provide technical guidance and guardrails, and drive a reusable, platform‑first mindset.

• Define and evolve the future‑state data vision (platforms, flows, capabilities).
• Identify gaps between the current and target state and guide roadmap priorities.
• Provide technical guidance and guardrails; drive reusable, platform‑first mindset vs point solutions.
• Ensure alignment to enterprise patterns (e.g., data domains, medallion layers).
• Work across engineering, data, product, and business teams; align stakeholders on direction, trade‑offs, and sequencing.
• Lead the overall design of cross‑functional, multi‑platform and Web‑based application systems; oversee all application system processes.
• Develop application architecture and blueprints reflecting enterprise business logic.
• Define application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools.
• Direct mapping activities on specific technology platforms.
• Consult on integration and conversion activities; conduct reviews and analyses of organizational needs and goals.

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities including:

• Analytical thinking, application development tools, industry knowledge, IT architecture, platform architecture, service‑oriented architecture, and software process improvement.
• Experience with competitive advantages, customer solutions, design, enterprise architecture framework, machine learning (ML), risk assessments, and technical knowledge.
• 8+ years of industry‑relevant experience; higher education such as a master’s degree, PhD, or relevant certifications desirable.
• University or college degree, or comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience including military service.
