Service Now Developer – IRM

Design, develop, and deploy Service Now applications and platform solutions using JavaScript, Now Platform, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub. Configure scoped applications and core platform features using best-practice patterns, security controls, and governance standards. Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub spokes. Ensure secure and reliable data exchange between systems. Create and maintain technical documentation including solution designs, build notes, update sets, integration specifications, and deployment runbooks.

Provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback. Maintain code quality through peer reviews, automated testing where applicable, and adherence to Service Now SDLC and release/deployment practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the Service Now platform team. Develop automation and orchestration using flows/workflows, business rules, script includes, UI policies, and catalog items.

Improve operational efficiency and user experience through automation. Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to produce solution designs, provide delivery estimates, and translate requirements into implementable user stories. Research and recommend emerging Service Now capabilities, including Virtual Agent, AI Search, and Now Assist (where applicable). Present technical options and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Act with integrity and professionalism to support a respectful and courteous work environment.

Strong expertise (2+ years) in Service Now Integrated Risk Management (IRM) is required, including Risk Management and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM). Additional experience across two or more Service Now modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and HR Service Delivery (HRSD). Developers without experience in IRM/GRC or junior developers will not be considered. Experience implementing and configuring Service Now IRM and TPRM applications.

Deep technical knowledge of vendor risk lifecycle, issue management, remediation processes, risk reporting, and dashboards.

Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.

Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC), Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD), and Platform micro-certifications preferred.

3+ years of recent, hands-on Service Now IRM development experience delivering platform solutions that solve business problems and create measurable impact. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Strong proficiency with Service Now scripting and development, including JavaScript, business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, and data model design. Experience with Service Now platform capabilities including Flow Designer, Service Catalog, reporting and dashboards, performance considerations, and CMDB concepts (as applicable).

Experience building integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Server. Experience with Agile delivery practices, including user stories, sprint ceremonies, and backlog refinement. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
