Create and customize core applications (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change) and develop new custom applications from scratch.
Modify and configure the platform using workflows, forms, business rules, UI policies, and other tools to meet specific business requirements.
Write, test, and deploy code, primarily using JavaScript, to extend the platform's functionality.
Develop integrations with third-party systems using methods like web services and email.
Debug and fix technical problems, and troubleshoot issues within the platform.
Create and run test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
Work closely with business analysts, users, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Administer the instance, perform upgrades, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Produce and maintain detailed system documentation, including technical specifications and training materials.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience with Service Now development, including configuring and customizing core applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and XML.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and concepts.
- Knowledge of web services and integration methods (SOAP, REST).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
