Guidewire Developer – Claim Center Integration

Location:

Remote C2C

Role

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Claim Center, integration development, and deep understanding of Commercial Lines and Workers' Compensation insurance products. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and enhance Claim Center configurations and integrations, working closely with business, architecture, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality Guidewire solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guidewire Development
    • Design, develop, and enhance Guidewire Claim Center components using Gosu, XML, and Guidewire configuration frameworks.
    • Configure Claim Center entities, type lists, PCFs, business rules, workflows, and claim exposure models.
    • Customize Claim Center screens, validation rules, claim assignments, coverage verification, and transaction handling.
    • Develop extension points, messaging configuration, and event-driven customizations within Claim Center.
  • Integration Development
    • Build and maintain integrations between Claim Center and external systems such as:
      Policy administration systems (Guidewire Policy Center or third-party) Billing systems Payments, financial systems, and vendor services Reporting, FNOL intake, document management, and fraud systems
    • Use technologies such as SOAP/XML, REST APIs, web services, JMS/Messaging, and middleware integration patterns.
    • Work with Gosu Rules, custom plugins, batch processes, and integration accelerators.
Insurance Domain Expertise

Deep knowledge of Commercial Lines insurance including General Liability, Commercial Property, Auto, Umbrella, BOP, Inland Marine, etc. Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation claims, benefits, coverages, wage calculations, medical/indemnity handling, and jurisdictional rules. Collaborate with SMEs to translate line-of-business requirements into Claim Center configuration and integration solutions.

Technical Qualifications

10+ years of Guidewire Claim Center development experience. Strong hands-on proficiency with:
Gosu language Claim Center configuration (PCFs, rules, workflows, data model) Claim Center integration (SOAP/REST, GUnit tests, messaging) Experience implementing Claim Center in Commercial Lines and Workers' Compensation environments. Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud, Guidewire Edge, or Cloud-native integrations is a plus. Strong understanding of insurance data models and Guidewire best practices. Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar Dev Ops pipelines.

General

Qualifications

Ability to work with onsite/offshore development teams. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills to interact with business teams, QA, product owners, and architects. Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into scalable technical designs. Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Guidewire Claim Center Developer Certification is a strong plus. Additional Guidewire certifications across Policy Center/Billing Center are a plus.
