This Service Now Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing a custom Onboard application built on the Service Now platform. This position reports to the Associate Director
- Development who is seeking candidates who have a:

• Perform and/or participate in discovery and design work sessions to determine best practice solution requirements and produce deliverables, including mock-ups, flow diagrams, etc.
• Refine and manage release management best practices (Update Sets, Information Sets, Cloning, naming conventions, etc.) for customizations and upgrades to the platform and applications
• Assist business owners with leveraging Service Now with disciplined design and implementation approaches

Required:

• Candidate should be able to read and understand Object Oriented code on a high level.
• Candidate must demonstrate the following Service Now knowledge/skills:
• Performing Glide Record Operations on a Table
• Scripting in Business Rule using the current and/or previous object
• Calling Script Includes
• Able to make REST API Outbound Calls and SOAP Outbound Calls with basic Authentication
• Understand WSDL and JSON
• Hands-on experience with Import Sets and Transform Maps
• Participated in at least one platform upgrade
• Update Set creation/usage and change migration
• Development/unit testing of Script Includes, Business Rules, Notifications and Notification Email Scripts, Scheduled Jobs, System Logs, UI Scripts, UI Pages, Security Roles/Groups and Reports
• Strong debugging skills which take advantage of Background Scripts, Fix Scripts, Service Now JavaScript Debugger
• MID servers usage, deployment and configuration
• Knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, JQuery and web browser technology (XML, HTML, Web Services, etc.)

Nice to Have:

• Angular, Bamboo, Backbone, RAML, Marionette, JIRA
• Experience with Service Now Encryption Context, Scripted REST/SOAP API's, OAuth Authentication mechanisms
• Familiarity with GIT

• Experience building custom business applications on the Service Now platform
• Agile Software development practices
• Experience dealing with technical end-users in a support role
• Working knowledge of LDAP, AD, SSO, Email Infrastructure and Web Services
• Experience working directly with customers and clients

Education:

• Service Now Certifications a plus.
