The team you'll be part of

Mobile Networks

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Mobile Network RAN group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster 5G radio access network to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise. Within the Mobile networks RAN (Radio Access Network) group, the "CIS SSD (System & SW Delivery) Americas" Tribe is Focus towards continuously bringing the benefits of new technology closer to the customer by:

• Executing early integration, market introduction and demos for new technologies, Nokia flagship products & system/network impacting solutions in the Americas region,
• Delivering high-quality system and software loads to top Americas customers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon)
• Continuous delivery, integration & test support for T-Mobile customer
• Development and full utilization of test automation within Tribe
• Buildup of our O-RAN and Cloud RAN Collaboration & Field Network Test Center in partnership with CSPs
• Implementing 5G Cloud RAN on Azure and AWS Clouds.

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for master's or bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering etc. or related field with an accredited school in the US.

What you will learn and contribute to

You will be part of a team of highly motivated and talented radio technology, cloud, and software engineers, and do a role in the areas of systematic e2e system integration and verification of software before customer delivery and software upgrade for 5G Radio products covering classical and virtual technology including open RAN interfaces and its related ORAN products, including its automation development area.

What is Nokia looking for from you?

You have:

• Overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor or master's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Telecommunications from an accredited college/university.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Operating Systems:
  Linux, Windows, Android, iOS, and MacOS, iOS
• Languages:
  
  Java, Python, C/C++, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL, SQL Alchemy, Eclipse, Prolog, Swift, R, Matlab
• Frameworks:
  Spring Boot, AngularJS, React, Django, Flask, SQLite, MongoDB, Apple Music API
• Tools:
  Tableau, Linux/Unix, Docker, Git, REST API, OAuth 2.0, RDBMS, and Microsoft office
