Sr. Full Stack Developer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading transportation organization, is looking for a Full-stack Developer to join their team.

Position Summary:

The role involves migrating legacy Java applications off a Web Sphere application server platform to Open Shift, as part of a mandatory migration initiative within the transportation domain. The developer will contribute to modernizing infrastructure and enabling the organization to move away from legacy systems while maintaining critical train tracking, scheduling, and operations reporting functionality.

• Work on mission-critical systems that directly impact transportation operations and logistics.
• Opportunity to own significant infrastructure modernization efforts with a clear deadline and measurable impact.
• Exposure to full-stack development across front-end, back-end, and Dev Ops practices.
• Involvement in legacy system migration, a high-value engineering challenge in large organizations.

• Open Shift platform experience.
• Full-stack development capability (front-end and back-end).
• System design concepts and full lifecycle understanding.
• Build pipeline setup and configuration.

• Migrate Java applications from Web Sphere application server to Open Shift platform.
• Handle application transformation and deployment.
• Manage build pipeline setup and configuration.
• Contribute to operations reporting systems that track train schedules, inventory management, arrivals, and departures.
• Support terminal and yard staff with reporting visibility into incoming and outgoing train movements.
