Job Summary
HR Service Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk – LTL & Freight Documentation to support our logistics and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, preparing and reviewing Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and freight documentation, and ensuring accurate inventory handling. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, and supporting timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, verify, and process all shipping and receiving documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing slips, freight manifests, and delivery receipts
- Coordinate LTL and full truckload (FTL) shipments with carriers and freight forwarders
- Schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for accuracy and damage, and record discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software
- Label, stage, and organize outbound shipments according to shipping requirements
- Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and carriers to resolve shipping issues or delays
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations
- Support periodic inventory counts and audits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred)
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and freight documentation processes
- Familiarity with LTL freight operations and carrier coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience using WMS, ERP, or inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations
- Hands-on experience with LTL freight documentation and carrier coordination preferred
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is an advantage
- Full-time position
- Standard business hours, typically Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime or flexible hours may be required based on shipping volumes and business needs
- Knowledge of freight terms, shipping regulations, and basic transportation compliance
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle packages as required
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
