POSITION OVERVIEW:
A short description of the general purpose of the position.
The Fleet Manager is a strategic operations leader responsible for the planning, procurement, governance, safety, and lifecycle management of Integra’s construction and service vehicle fleet supporting data center development, manufacturing support, and ongoing service operations.
This role ensures fleet assets are standardized, compliant, cost-effective, and operationally ready across multiple sites and regions. The Fleet Manager partners closely with Operations, HSE, Finance, Procurement, and Field Leadership to support mission-critical schedules, service reliability, and workforce safety through disciplined fleet governance and data-driven decision-making.
The position plays a critical role in protecting people, enabling uptime, and supporting Integra’s Safe State operating model by ensuring vehicles, equipment, and drivers are consistently in a verified, controlled condition.
Key Responsibilitiesthe main duties and tasks the role is expected to perform
- Fleet Strategy & Governance
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Integra’s standardized fleet strategy aligned with construction and service operations.
- Establish approved vehicle classes, configurations, upfits, and replacement cycles.
- Own fleet policies, procedures, and compliance standards across all business units.
- Support scalable fleet growth for multi-site, multi-region data center and manufacturing programs.
- Embed Safe State principles into fleet operations, ensuring vehicles and drivers are fit, verified, and ready for work.
- Procurement & Lifecycle Management
- Manage vehicle sourcing, ordering, delivery, deployment, and disposal processes.
- Partner with Finance on total cost of ownership (TCO), capital planning, depreciation, and replacement forecasting.
- Track fleet lifecycle stages including acquisition, utilization, maintenance, redeployment, and retirement.
- Coordinate surplus vehicle disposition, resale, or internal reassignment.
- Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure fleet compliance with all applicable DOT, OSHA, state/provincial, and local regulations.
- Partner with HSE to integrate fleet safety expectations into driver qualification, onboarding, and training programs.
- Oversee vehicle incident reporting, damage tracking, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Support telematics and IVMS programs including forward-facing cameras, GPS tracking, and driver behavior metrics.
- Ensure vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, and defect correction are consistently executed.
- Operations & Field Support
- Support construction and service teams with timely vehicle deployment, redeployment, and availability planning.
- Coordinate fleet logistics for new project mobilization and demobilization.
- Ensure service vehicles are properly equipped to support rapid response and uptime-critical operations.
- Act as the primary escalation point for fleet-related operational issues impacting schedule, safety, or service delivery.
- Maintenance & Vendor Management
- Establish preventive maintenance standards and service schedules by vehicle class and usage.
- Manage relationships with OEMs, dealerships, upfitters, and maintenance providers.
- Monitor service quality, turnaround times, warranty claims, roadside assistance, and cost controls.
- Ensure emergency response and roadside support coverage is in place across all operating regions.
- Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate fleet records, utilization data, compliance documentation, and asset inventories.
- Track and report key performance indicators including:
- Fleet utilization
- Maintenance and repair costs
- Vehicle downtime
- Incident and damage trends
- Fuel consumption and emissions data
- Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations for optimization, risk reduction, and cost control.
- Drive continuous improvement through standardization, technology adoption, and policy enhancements.
Required
- 5+ years of fleet management experience in construction, industrial, or service operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing light-duty and medium-duty truck fleets.
