Customs Entry Writer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Entry Writer to join our dynamic client in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations and be proficient in Cargo Wise software. This role involves preparing and processing documentation necessary for the clearance of goods through customs and ensuring compliance with government and international regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate documentation for the clearance of goods in compliance with customs and other government agencies.
• Utilize Cargo Wise software to enter data and manage logistics information effectively.
• Coordinate with carriers, agents, and clients to obtain necessary information and documents.
• Track and monitor shipments, resolving any issues that may arise during the transit process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and compliance requirements in the freight industry.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Entry Writer or similar role in the freight forwarding industry.
• Proficiency in Cargo Wise software and strong computer literacy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements.
