The maintenance control department’s function is to plan and execute all aspects of maintenance for the managed fleet. The department coordinates and moderates the performance of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company-owned and managed aircraft.

Maintenance Controllers (MC) may be delegated the authority to carry out any or all of the following tasks:

  • Projects scheduled maintenance needs for the coming 6-12 months.
  • Maintains mission readiness as the primary point of contact for unscheduled maintenance events
  • When unscheduled occurrences happen, the MC will work with the flight crew to troubleshoot the issue.
  • If the discrepancy cannot be corrected the MC will work with the flight crew to defer the item.
  • If the item is non-deferable, the MC will work with the crew to write up the discrepancy and notify the flight control department of the aircraft’s status and projected RTS.
  • If the discrepancy grounds the aircraft the MC will locate an approved maintenance vendor to conduct repairs.
  • Coordinates maintenance events with Ops and Flight Crew.
  • Coordinates the allocation of resources with vendors.
  • Monitors the work to completion and RTS.
  • Shops and orders parts.
  • Audits vendors.
  • Acts in the capacity of a Ground Security Coordinator.
  • Assists with onboarding new aircraft to the fleet
  • Some travel required
  • Some weekend or after hour may be required occasionally
  • May perform light maintenance such as database updates, pre and post flights and servicing fluids
  • Assists with record keeping
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance
  • Must hold FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification
  • 14 CFR FAR 135 charter operations experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years A&P experience
  • Experience with Microsoft programs, CAMP systems, and Adobe.
  • Successful Completion of Background check and DOT Drug Testing
