Forklift Operator - Dallas

Position: Forklift Operator I - Dallas
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Put-away
Responsible for moving finished goods received into Dallas from the dock area to their appropriate storage locations using a pallet mover, forklift, or a reach truck.

Replenishment
Responsible for moving finished goods from their storage locations to the picking area to be used by the order processors to fill customer orders. Responsible for unloading cartons from pallets and filling storage racks with cartons.

Inventory
Responsible for electronically transferring inventory picked for reprocessing or replenishment from its current location into the appropriate location.

Safety and Equipment
Responsible for careful and safe use of all company equipment and property. Responsible for reporting any equipment problems to immediate supervisor, or the maintenance department. Responsible for performing duties in such a way to ensure the safety of oneself and one's co-workers

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and related paperwork.
• Ability to be trained to use a hand held scanner.
• Must be able to operate a pallet mover.
• Must be certified to use both a fork lift and a reach truck according to OSHA guidelines.
• Certification is provided on-site.
• Basic Math Skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach.
• Ability to constantly lift and carry cartons weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb on and off fork lift and/or reach truck.
