The Transportation Analyst is an established performer that is responsible for the communication between agencies, departments, and customers as well as analysis to assist with cost saving measures, problem solving, and improving departmental operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the safe passage of goods from country of origin to destination, analyzing transportation data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall transportation efficiency.

• Work on projects and assignments as part of the larger Transportation team.
• Draw from prior experience, interpret facts, and identify incomplete data/anomalies to solve problems.
• Provide freight quotes and ad‑hoc logistic scenario planning.
• Responsible for facilitating and/or coordinating transportation operations and ensuring the movement and tracking of raw materials, finished goods, and machinery from origin port to destination.
• Establish relationships and interact with internal/external shipping locations, forwarders, ocean shipping lines, OTR providers, and transload facilities to ensure goods and materials are delivered on‑time and at an optimized cost.
• Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions on various transportation related tasks.
• Negotiate with vendors, carriers, and contractors.
• Provide detailed information to support cost estimates.
• Monitor and report on international logistics key performance indicators for continuous improvement.
• Assist with cost saving opportunities such as minimizing unnecessary costs (detention, demurrage).
• May be responsible for payment of various vendors and invoice validity.
• May be responsible for tracking customer orders upon request, assisting with customer related problems, and various other transportation matters as defined by designated department.
• Research and troubleshoot international shipments.
• Update and maintain up‑to‑date cargo information in appropriate tracking system and/or website to ensure accurate status is available throughout organization.
• Generate necessary reports and paperwork for international shipments.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• SAP skills preferred.
• 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
