Logistics Handling Operations Administrator - Dallas, TX

Export Agent role in DFW Team to coordinate export shipments. Main point of contact for coordination between customers, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.

• Open a file on the dedicated software system for each shipment received. Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations. Contact customs officials to affect release of incoming freight and resolve customs delays.
• Receive freight, documentation, and way billing; assess charges; and collect fees for shipments.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED. Minimum six months to one year related experience.
• Plan and direct flow of air/ocean traffic moving to overseas destinations.
• Ship freights, prepare documentation and way-billing, assess charges, and collect fees for shipments.
• Examine documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to verify conversion of merchandise weights or volumes into system used by other country.
• Possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Cargo Wise experience preferred.
