Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Dallas, TX—offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Drivers are averaging $2300+ per week, and the top 10% at this location earn $100k+ per year.

• Weekly pay.
• Hourly base pay: $26 per hour, plus $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements.
• Overtime paid after 40 hours.
• Per diem: $50 per night.
• Paid travel.
• Tenure bonus: $1000 each year between Nov. 1 and Oct. 31.
• Paid training.
• Paid overnights for routes in Ryder‑booked hotels or sleepers.
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days.
• 80 hours of paid time off in the first year, starting Day 1.
• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided.

• Deliver SOLO to TX, OK, AR, MA, LA, and AL.
• Tractor types:
  Day Cab, Sleeper, possibility of 26' straight truck.
• Trailer types: 48'–53' flatbed, dry van, reefer, conestoga, curtainside, and container.
• Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Must have Real  passport for flight.
• Equipment: manual pallet jack, rollers, lift gate, and Moffett.
• Load securement: strapping, tarping, and chaining.
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed.
• We reimburse costs and provide training to obtain endorsements.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load and unload freight, or assist as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum age 21.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and driver’s record check (past 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Class A CDL with verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
