Position:
Sales Route Supervisor (Full Time) – Dallas, TX. The Supervisor oversees delivery drivers, ensures DOT compliance, and improves department efficiency by routing, standardizing, and training drivers to distribute company products safely.
- Supervise, lead, and mentor Sales Route Drivers.
- Assist the Distribution Manager with training, operational efficiency, data evaluation, equipment utilization, and route optimization.
- Prioritize driver workload, schedule drivers, and assess performance.
- Utilize continuous improvement to identify and implement process enhancements.
- Enforce company safety rules and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain positive relationships with supply chain leadership.
- Collaborate with functional departments to meet safety, service, cost, and people goals.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and accurately record data.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screen.
- Must pass a clearinghouse screening.
- Minimum age 21, as required by federal DOT regulations.
- Strong analytical and systematic problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.
- Ability to work in hot and cold climates, indoors and outdoors, and on refrigerated trucks.
- Open to relocating or transferring to other locations as needed.
- Class A or B commercial driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate as required by FMCSA Part 391.41.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Four years of prior supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology is preferred.
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, and bending.
- Work in very hot (100) and very cool (32) environments throughout the year.
- Run routes as business needs dictate, working outdoors regardless of conditions.
