Job Requisition JR24444 Worker Time Type Full time Worker Sub-Type Regular Shift Job Description POSITION PURPOSE Turn complex delivery needs into smart, efficient routes that keep customers happy and our operations moving. As a Logistics Planner, you will combine technology, data, teamwork, and real-time problem-solving to shape how products reach customers across your region. In this role, you will use logistics technology and operational insight to design efficient routes that deliver exceptional customer service at the lowest practical cost.

You will coordinate route planning for an assigned geography, balancing service needs, operational impacts, and cost. You will analyze service data, recommend improvements based on local needs, mentor and support fellow Logistics Planners, and partner with the Regional Logistics Manager and national routing team to strengthen standards and close process gaps. Leads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes the lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for our customers, employees and shareholders. Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Create optimized, DOT-compliant multi-stop routes that help drivers deliver an exceptional customer experience. Drives delivery efficiencies using routing software to optimize fleet utilization and cost. Responsible for daily route publication and processing and special deliveries for assigned business units. Maintains daily routing processes, procedures and updates as needed. Analyzes routes for efficiencies based on miles per stop, units per hour, units per mile, and overall route profitability.

Reviews routes and performance to maximize fleet utilization and minimize returned product; identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and makes recommendations to the Regional Logistics Manager. Partner with the Regional Logistics Manager and delivery stakeholders to shape routing strategies that improve service, efficiency, and execution. Use reports and routing technology to uncover the root causes of service and routing issues, then take action to solve them.

Builds, maintains, and removes customer data in multiple systems across assigned business units(s). Establishes and maintains optimal routing details for each customer. Complies with all corporate policies, as well as local, state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines for quality, environmental, and safety standards. Share best practices and mentor fellow Logistics Planners, helping the team build capability and succeed together.

Collaborate with the Regional Logistics Manager to create practical standards and best practices for new and evolving processes. Provide flexible coverage across the region, using your routing knowledge to keep operations running smoothly when another Logistics Planner is unavailable. Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management. Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics.
