The Delivery Driver I (CDL

A) operates medium to heavy-duty pickup trucks with delivery trailers, delivering rental equipment to customers. The role requires knowledge of basic equipment operation and providing operational training to customers. The driver verifies equipment cleanliness and functionality before and after deliveries, demonstrating high-quality customer service. Local deliveries and pickups are typical, with rare overnight travel. This role is also known as Rental Delivery Driver I (RDDI).

• 10% - Administrative/Business Duties: Document work, obtain signatures, stay current on licensing and safety, maintain professionalism, and perform other duties as assigned.
• 20% - Deploy Equipment to Store Locations: Assist with deploying new equipment, perform PDIs, deliver, and train store staff.
• 10% - Maintain Parts Inventory: Keep accurate inventory records.
• 60% - Operate Assigned Truck and Make Delivery: Operate trucks to deliver and pick up rental equipment, secure loads, and demonstrate safe operation to customers.

• Reports to Rental Operations Supervisor or Regional Rental Manager.
• Typically less than 10% overnight travel.

• Requires physical exertion, including walking, standing, climbing, and lifting.
• Work environment may include temperature extremes, machinery, noise, and fumes.

• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL-A and DOT Medical Card.
• One year of commercial driving experience in the past 5 years.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience with delivery trucks, towing, and operating safely in traffic.
• Knowledge of local roads, load securement, and safety regulations.
• Strong work ethic and customer service skills.

• Experience operating flatbed trailers and in equipment rental industry.
• Good communication, negotiation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and define problems.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred 3 years of work experience.

• Class A CDL License.
