Abby’s Bagels is hiring a reliable, professional
Delivery & Catering Driver
to ensure guest orders and catered events are delivered accurately, safely, and on time throughout the Dallas area. This role represents Abby’s Bagels off-site, so the ideal candidate is organized, friendly, punctual, and comfortable handling both individual delivery orders and larger catering setups.
- Pick up, verify, load, and deliver individual orders, online orders, and catering orders accurately and on schedule
- Review delivery tickets, addresses, contact information, special instructions, and order details before leaving the shop
- Safely transport bagels, sandwiches, coffee, beverages, pastries, platters, and catering supplies while protecting product quality and presentation
- Set up catering orders at offices, homes, schools, events, and other customer locations as directed
- Confirm completed deliveries and collect required signatures, payments, receipts, or customer acknowledgments
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent Abby’s Bagels positively at every delivery location
- Communicate proactively with managers, customers, and the shop team about traffic delays, missing items, address issues, or delivery concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, receipts, tip information, and order documentation as required
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, fueled, and ready for use; promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow safe-driving practices, all traffic laws, food-safety standards, and company delivery procedures
- Return catering equipment, delivery bags, receipts, unused supplies, and customer notes to the shop after each route
- Assist with packing catering orders, labeling items, stocking supplies, dishwashing, cleaning, and other in-store duties between deliveries
- Help maintain catering inventory, including disposable serviceware, coffee carriers, insulated bags, signage, and packaging materials
- Valid Texas driver’s license and a clean, safe driving record
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle, if required for the role
- Previous delivery, catering, restaurant, courier, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred
- Comfortable using maps, navigation apps, smartphones, and delivery or point-of-sale systems
- Strong time-management, communication, and organization skills
- Professional appearance and a friendly, service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently while staying in communication with the team
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including catering trays, beverage boxes, and supply containers
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts based on catering and delivery needs
- Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain one, preferred
This position may be full-time or part-time. Hours may vary based on delivery volume, catering bookings, mornings, weekends, and holidays. Pay is competitive and may include hourly wages, mileage reimbursement, tips, and/or delivery incentives, depending on the position structure.
