The Assistant Shuttle Manager oversees the Shuttle operation while greeting and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients and employees. This position takes ownership of the Shuttle operation during their scheduled shift.

Must be available to work frequent nights and weekends.

Principal

Job Duties
  • Ensures that Shuttle Drivers are completing accurate pre-inspection reports
  • Ensures that maintenance is complete on all shuttles within the operation, including checking all fluids.
  • Orders equipment and supplies that are needed to ensure that the shuttles are maintained.
  • Communicates with vehicle maintenance team.
  • Review and file Shuttle Driver records
  • Completes DOT documentation for each Shuttle Driver and ensures that regular follow up is completed as needed to keep all documentation is up to date.
  • Assigns shuttles to drivers in an effort to keep track of miles for accurate end of month reporting.
  • Ensure all Shuttle Driver shifts are covered.
  • Ensures staff adheres to rules of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Supervises, mentors, and trains staff on day-to-day activities.
  • Assists in establishing performance standards, recommending, and implementing changes to procedures when necessary.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction and assisting with minor vehicle issues (jump starting batteries, airing tires, locating vehicles, etc.)
  • Assist Shuttle Drivers over radio as needed.
  • Assists with periodic training as needed.
  • Resolves customer service issues or questions as needed.
  • Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
  • Basic Excel and computer skills needed to provide monthly reports to management.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • Shuttle Driver experience required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Parking industry experience is required.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
