Material Handler

Job Summary

The Material Handler position is responsible for preparing for customers by placing parts on the pallet and operating a forklift to move pallets.

• Prepare for the customer by placing parts on the pallet.
• Confirm piece counts.
• Input scrap into the system.
• May move pallets to designated locations by operating a forklift.
• Will occasionally lift and carry from 5 to 40 lbs within 3 to 10 ft.
• Will occasionally push and pull 40 to 50 lbs of parts on manual pallet jack within 10 to 15 ft.
• Consistently deliver the best in customer service. As an employee, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with customers, visitors, and other employees.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing warehouse environment with occasional temperature changes and frequent exposure to humidity/dry/dusty conditions and moving objects.

• Computer knowledge.

• Frequent sitting, reaching, handling, crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs and going in/out of machine.
• Occasional standing, walking, fingering, balancing, and trunk rotation.
• Occasionally lift and carry from 5 – 40 lbs within 3 – 10 ft.
• Occasionally push and pull 40 – 50 lbs of parts on manual pallet jack within 10 – 15 ft.
